Welcome to the World of Meg & Milo

Helping Little Ones Understand Healthcare, One Story at a Time.

Meg & Milo believe every child deserves to feel safe, understood, and confident when they visit a health centre, ambulance, or hospital.

Created by experienced paramedic K. T. Blackson, the series helps young children explore common illnesses, injuries, and healthcare experiences through gentle storytelling, friendly characters, and age-appropriate language.

Through Meg’s calm reassurance and Milo’s cheerful curiosity, children learn that healthcare professionals are kind people who are there to help.

Our aim is simple:

❤️ Reduce fear and anxiety about healthcare visits
❤️ Encourage children to ask questions and talk about their feelings
❤️ Build confidence through understanding
❤️ Support parents in having important health conversations at home
❤️ Inspire kindness, bravery, and curiosity

Inspiring Future Paramedics, Nurses and Doctors

Every Meg & Milo story is dedicated to the next generation of Paramedics, Nurses, Doctors, and Healthcare Professionals.

By helping children understand healthcare from an early age, we hope to nurture confidence, compassion, and curiosity that may one day inspire them to care for others too.

Because confidence, kindness and curiosity are the first steps in caring for others.

Reassuring Storytelling

Each story gently eases common childhood healthcare fears, fostering comfort and confidence for young readers and their families.

Familiar Faces and Places

Introducing relatable characters and healthcare professionals helps children connect and feel secure during their own health experiences.

Ongoing Adventures

New stories and activities continuously enrich the series, keeping young minds curious and positively engaged with health topics.

“Leo’s Itchy Spots” is a beautifully illustrated book with superb Talk Together Time prompts on each page. My children loved me reading it to them. Well done! 5 stars!
